TIME: Several days MEDIUM: Photoshop CS2 + Corel Painter X Way back in 2003 I created these characters for a book I was developing. I have a lot of sketches and notes for the story but I haven't worked on it for years. These clowns are super powerful villains which live in these houses located in a swamp atop a twisted mountain. Recently *TomatoDragon did a couple of illustrations for me depicting these characters. I realised I had never illustrated a final image myself. Also there is a local Bendigo art competition approaching so I'm going to enter this. The prize is a $1000 scholarship. I don't expect to win because it's not a typical Arty-Farty boring piece of crap. Obviously Tim Burton has been a huge influence on me. Now when I decide to continue my work on the book I'll also include Terry Pratchett as an influence. ©Michael Collins 2003-2008 and beyond. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
