Just finished reading my 2nd Discworld book yesterday The Light Fantastic. It is fantastic and here is one of the characters whom debuts in this book Cohen The Barbarian.
Cohen is Discworld's greatest hero yet he has now aged considerably. 87 years old in The Light Fantastic. At the end of the book he marries a 17 year old girl. Dirty bastard. He still has a lot of fight left in him but on occasion including in the middle of a fight his back will go out on him leaving him paralysed.
I think the art style is like a cross-breed of Alan Lee, Brian Froud and Drew Struzan.
Very nice indeed. I really like how the sketch kind of "fades out" leaving only the colour work. I've a question for you - how do you manage to put out such quality work on such a regular basis. It usually takes me at least two days to get an image to a point I'm happy with, sometimes longer. That's not cause I'm lazy, I just check and re-check EVERYTHING until it's as perfect as I can get it.
Don't let that fool ya. I can get very lazy with my art work output. I just seem to be going through a bit of an artistic bender. I just need some strong influence to get myself working.
For example the Christmas anime drawings were created for a competition and recently I got into Terry Pratchett's Discworld series which accounts for the Rincewind and Cohen pics.
Usually when I'm creating a piece of art, most of the time is spent fiddling with the colour and layout. The actual sketches and drawings are done pretty quickly. I try not to work on something for more than a day.

I'm lovin' Cohen, dude! Excellent work Glad to hear you're getting through the Discworld books too, if you like Cohen and Rincewind, it's definitely worth checking out 'The Last Hero' too, although that's much later in the chronological order of the series. The Paul Kidby illustrations are to die for!
Keep up the great illustrations
Thanks Rhianna. I've decided to go through all the books in chronological order which I'm trying to buy one every fortnight so that's going to be a while. I've still got just under a week till next pay day. I wish I had them all now because I've been reading them relatively fast. Hopefully I'll do at least one fan art every time I read one. That's the plan.

I know what you mean about the "artistic bender." I'm currently feeling that way myself as I'm free from Uni and am able to do works I WNT to do rather than stuff I HAVE to do. Also, my love for pin-up has really grown over the past few months as I've been reading up on Betty Page, artists such as Frank Cho, Greg Land etc and having recently discoverd Suicide Girls (yeah I know I'm - what? - 2 year last) and have an urge to do lots of pin-up stuff.
My first one is almost done and my second begun. Hopefuly they will be cool.

Anyway, awesome work once again.
