Medium: Acrylic on Canvas Time: 6 hours (I had no idea how long it took but for some reason my partner Kim did) Original Size: 45cm X 59cm Today I decided to paint something for my first born to hang above her bed. I couldn't be bothered coming up with any new ideas so I searched through some old sketch books for ideas. I had this sketched months and months and months ago. Maybe even close to a year. Originally I had planned to do this digitally. After I finished it and dated the back, I noticed today was also the Phantom's Anniversary. February 17th 1936 he was first published. Which would make him 72 I think. That's right folks he's the first comic book super-hero. In the traditional sense. Some aspects of Superman and Batman were taken from The Ghost Who Walks.
